Lateral Entry admission at NIFT

: National Institute of Fashion Technology has invited applications for admission to Lateral Entry seats at its various centers across the country, for the Academic Year 2013-14.

ELIGIBILITY & PROCESS: The candidates should possess a 3 year Diploma/ Degree after 10th/10+2 in courses related to fashion / fashion technology like Apparels / Textile / Accessories / Apparel Technology / Leather / Home Science/ Handloom Technology / Products / Visual Communication / Graphic Design / Industrial Design / Interior Design / Multimedia Design or Technology / Engineering from Central/State Government institute or AICTE / AIU / UGC/ Govt. recognized institute / college / university.

WHO SHOULD APPLY: Candidates having science background with a Diploma/ Degree in engineering may apply for Bachelors of Fashion Technology (Apparel Production) programme as well as Bachelors of Design Programme. Other candidates having aptitude for creativity / innovation / fashion design may apply for Bachelor of Design programme.

HOW TO APPLY: Aspirants are required to submit their forms to the NIFT Centres where the student intends to take the Entrance Examination along with the Application Fee and required documents as follows:
1 Photograph (2 Passport)
2 Attested copy of 10th class mark sheet
3 Attested copy of 10th class certi cate
4 Attested copy of 3 yr Diploma / Degree on the basis candidate seeking the admission.
5 Attested copy of Marksheets of 3 yr Diploma / Degree on the basis candidate seeking the admission.
6 Attested copy of 10+2 certi cate and marksheet, if applicable
7 Attested copy of SC certi cate*
8 Attested copy of ST certi cate*
9 Attested copy of PHP certi cate*
10 Attested copy of VRC certi cate*
11 Attested copy of OBC certi cate in prescribe format*
* In case, an applicant is applying for a researved seat

The application must be addressed to Campus Director in an envelope indicating “Application for NIFT Lateral Entry Admission– 2013”.

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORM: Candidate are required to submit a Demand Draft for Rs.1100/- drawn in favour of NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF FASHION TECHNOLOGY, payable at the city of the centre selected for taking the entrance examination alongwith the duly  lled-in NIFT Lateral Entry
Admission form:
• General / OBC (Non Creamy) candidates : Rs.1100/-
• SC &ST or Person with disabilities categories : Rs.550/-
