Eligibility:
MFSc Programmes:
4 year Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries Science (BFSc) recognized by Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies with an OGPA of 7.0/10.0 (In the case of SC / ST candidates an OGPA of 6.5/10.0). (Three year BFSc degree holders of other Universities and traditional Universities are not eligible for admission.)
MBA Programme:
Graduate in Science, Arts, Commerce or professional graduates from Indian/Foreign Universities recognized by AICTE / UGC / ICAR / KUFOS with minimum 55% marks in traditional system (50% to SC / ST Candidates) or a minimum OGPA of 7.0/10.0 (6.5/10.0 for SC /ST Candidates).
Candidates awaiting their final results of the qualifying degree can also apply. But they should produce their qualifying degree / mark list on or before the date prescribed for the GD and interview
MSc Biological Oceanography and Biodiversity (BO&BD):
BSc with 55% or 5.5/10.0 or 2.2/4.0 marks in any of the following subject combinations.

MSc Food Science & Technology:
B.Sc with 55% marks or 5.5/10.0 OGPA or 2.2/4.0 OGPA in any of the following subject combinations.

3. BSc (Agriculture / Horticulture / other allied agricultural sciences)
4. BVSc (Diary Sciences)
5. BSc (Chemistry / Zoology / Botany / Biochemistry)

Candidates awaiting their final results of the qualifying degree exam can also apply, but they should produce their qualifying degree / mark list at the time of the interview.
MSc Applied Statistics:
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics / Statistics as main subject with minimum 55%marks (50% for SC / ST candidates).
MSc Ocean Remote Sensing and GIS:
Any science graduate with more than 55% marks in the qualifying examination with one of the following main subjects:
1. Physics 2. Mathematics 3. Geology 4. Geography 5. BE / BTech in Civil Engineering / Aeronautical / Mechanical / Electronic / Instrumentation / Computer sciences / BFSc / Graduate in Nautical Sciences
LLM Maritime law:
A candidate who has passed the LLB Degree Examination of any University in the state of Kerala or of any other University recognized as equivalent there to and has secured not less than 55% of the marks in the aggregate shall be eligible to be considered for admission. However SC/ST candidates with 50% marks are eligible.
MTech Integrated Coastal Zone Management:
MSc in any branch of Science with 55% marks in qualifying examination, MFSc, MSW, BTech / BE in Civil Eng, Coastal Eng., Mechanical Eng., Electronics; Post graduation in Geography, Economics, Sociology; Law graduates.
PhD Programme:
Master’s degree in Fishery Science (MFSc) in the respective / related discipline recognized by Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies with an OGPA of 7.0/10.0 (In the case of SC / ST candidates, an OGPA of 6.5/10.0). Admission to KUFOS PhD seats will be made through entrance test and interview
How to apply?
Application form and prospectus for admission to the Post Graduate Degree programmes are available in the website www.kufos.ac.in (Adobe Acrobat PDF format). The downloaded applications and hall ticket should be duly filled up has to be submitted on A4 size paper only.
Application Fee:
General category: Rs. 1,000.00
Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe (native of Kerala only): Rs. 375.00
The application fee shall be paid by way of Demand Draft drawn in favour of The Finance Officer, Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies, Panangad, payable at SBT Ernakulam.
The filled in application along with DD should reach the Registrar, Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies, Panangad P.O., Kochi 682 506, Kerala on or before 29.06.2013. A passport size photograph of the candidate bearing his/her signature should be affixed on the application and hall ticket
Each application for admission shall be accompanied with the following:
a) Demand Draft for the application fee.
b) Community Certificate obtained from a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Village Officer in the case of SC / ST candidates.
c) A ‘No Objection Certificate’ and experience certificate obtained from the controlling officer concerned in the case of in-service candidates.
d) Attested copies of certificates in proof of age, qualifications, mark list of qualifying examination, experience, sports activities and nativity certificate in the case of candidates from outside Kerala
e) One self-addressed stamped envelope (worth Rs.5/-) of size 23 cm x 10 cm.
f) Certificate in support of any other reservation claimed as specified in the application to prove their claims
